Homeland Security Investigation ICAC Arrest

On Monday, March 26, 2018, the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Homeland Security Investigation in reference to an ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) case in Duplin County.

On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office, working in conjunction with Homeland Security Investigation executed a search warrant in the Beulaville area of Duplin County.

Carolann Marie Cliftton, age 28, was arrested and charged with twelve counts of Felony Dissemination of Obscenity, twelve counts of Felony Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and twelve counts of Felony Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. Clifton was placed in the Duplin County Jail under a $300,000 secure bond.  The investigation is ongoing at this time.
