TRAFFIC STOP YIELDS METHAMPHETAMINE

On Tuesday, March 6, 2018 the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 24 and Williams Road.  The vehicle was being driven by Michael Corey Rhodes.  A search of the vehicle revealed 6.5 grams of methamphetamine inside the vehicle.

Michael Corey Rhodes was charged with Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Dwelling Place to Keep Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Rhodes was placed in the Duplin County Jail under a $25,000.00 secured bond.
